Character and Taste

Colombian Pink Bourbon beans are renowned for their complex and elegant flavour. They typically feature bright acidity and a silky body, with vibrant notes of tropical fruit, citrus, florals, and a honey-like sweetness. The cup often finishes with a clean and lingering aftertaste, making it a favourite among specialty coffee lovers.

Colombian Pink Bourbon is a rare, high-altitude Bourbon mutation prized for its unique pink cherries and exceptional cup quality. In regions  Huila and Tolima, these areas offer ideal conditions for coffee cultivation, with rich volcanic soil, ample rainfall, and elevations ranging from 1,500 to 2,100 meters above sea level. These environmental factors, combined with expert farming practices, contribute to the exceptional quality of Pink Bourbon coffee.

Particularities

Pink Bourbon cherries are naturally pink when ripe, a cross between Red and Yellow Bourbon varieties. Their rarity and the difficulty in cultivation make them highly sought after. They offer layered complexity and delicate aromatics, often scoring high in specialty coffee grading. Commonly washed or honey-processed to preserve their vibrant flavour notes. Colombian Pink Bourbon coffee beans represent a remarkable fusion of nature, tradition, and craftsmanship. Their limited production and outstanding taste make them a true gem in the world of specialty coffee.

2. Ethiopian G1 Coffee Beans

Although technically part of the Sidama region, its distinctive flavour profile has made it stand out as one of Africa's most celebrated coffee origins. Biloya, located about 25 kilometers from Yirgacheffe, boasts advanced water-processing facilities. Coffees processed here excel in washed methods, showcasing captivating floral notes and bright citrus acidity, with a smooth, sweet mouthfeel that delights the senses.  The combination of unique terroir, heirloom genetics, and skilled, labor-intensive practices creates the potential for exceptional, complex cup profiles worthy of the G1 grade.

Plantation Info

The "Fazenda Lagoa" is where one of the most famous plantation coffees of the world is grown, with due consideration for the local ecosystem, on 400 hectares of land, at an altitude of 950 to 1.200 m. The annual harvest of this plantation is between 8,000 and 12,000 sacks of 60 kg. Due to its geographical position and the high quality expectations, this coffee is picked exclusively by hand. The beans, which have been picked in the morning, are transported to the treatment facilities in the afternoon. There, they are processed in five steps. First, any remaining twigs or leaves are removed before ripe, overripe and still green beans are separated from each other in a water tank. Later, a part of the pulp is removed and the beans, together with the remaining glassine coat, are dried in the sun.

Particularities

Brazil is, without doubt, the largest producer of Arabica coffees in the world and is also among the largest Robusta producers. Its coffees are often offered in blends or as cheap Arabica varieties.
